After Hours
After-Hours Care
If your child's illness/injury is a true medical emergency, call 911.
Utilize the nurse line on the back of your health insurance card. This is a free service.
For urgent matters that cannot wait until business hours, call our office number (832) 501-3723, and our answering service will contact the on-call care provider. Please save routine questions such as mild illness, appointment scheduling, and prescription refills for regular office hours.
Secure Text Messaging service- We offer HIPAA secure text-messaging via the Spruce app for established patients with medical concerns only. This service is available daily until 8pm.
We encourage you to refer to our child health resources, when practical, before calling the office.
We always prefer you contact the practice before going to any urgent care or emergency room as we may be able to save you a trip. However, if your child needs urgent medical treatment, we suggest that you be seen by dedicated pediatric providers.

Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life-threatening: loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, etc. In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call our office first for instructions.
